We are a team of warriors.
Our passion is to help people live their healthiest and best lives through clear, encouraging coaching and proven fitness strategies.
Our journey with the FASTer Way to Fat loss began in January of 2019. After seeing a friend post on Facebook about her experiences and successes with the program, Susan decided to do some research into the FASTer Way. She was surprised to find that not only was the program backed back actual scientifically sound concepts and significant research, but that clients were truly becoming the healthiest and happiest versions of themselves through this do-it-from-home program that did not require clients to buy any pills, supplements, or shakes. At that time, Susan had recently been diagnosed with severe carpal tunnel syndrome. She was desperate to see if losing weight might help, so she called Meghan and asked if they might want to sign up together.
Six weeks later, both of us had experienced RADICAL transformations in our fat stores on our bodies – we had each lost literally inches of fat! – and we were experiencing better sleep, consistent exercise, higher levels of energy, and knowledgeable nutrition habits. The choice to become coaches for the program was not long in the making.
By June of 2019, we had both completed the extensive certification process and began coaching. As coaches for the FASTer Way to Fat Loss, we are passionate about helping other people reach their individual health goals through scientifically-based nutrition and fitness strategies. The joy brought by the changes we have seen through the FASTer Way has been life-giving for both of us!
Susan, 57, has raised three children to adulthood and has been married to a military physician for over 35 years. She understands the challenges of motherhood and of life as a military wife. She is also a Physician’s Assistant by training and has taught AP Biology for many years. Her knowledge of science also crosses over into the kitchen, where she is a fantastic cook. In addition, Susan is a champion of empowering older women through weightlifting and is constantly working to challenge herself and others to take charge of their own health throughout their lives.
Meghan, 25, brings elements of youthful energy and thoughtful creativity in both communication with clients and in the kitchen. As a Type 1 diabetic who has also been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, she understands the constant struggle of auto-immune diseases and works hard to ensure that clients with preexisting conditions are not kept from mastering their own health. She is full of ideas for workout modifications and for recipes that are easy for people of all ages to make. In a world that forces certain perspectives of beauty on youth, Meghan strives to point women toward their strengths and inner beauty instead.
When you sign up to join the FASTer Way to Fat Loss with either one of us, you get a team of coaches who work based on one shared motto: Choose to celebrate progress instead of chasing perfection. We look forward to sharing journey with you.
Meghan's Story
Meghan grew up just outside of Washington, DC in Maryland. In 2013, she moved to Nashville, TN to study music at Belmont University. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Commercial Violin Performance, then went on to complete a self-piloted master’s degree in Commercial Violin Performance and String Pedagogy. With bigger goals in mind for the future, Meghan is continuing her education as a doctoral student at Lipscomb University, where she is studying to receive an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership. Additionally, she teaches collegiate music classes at Belmont University and teaches violin and fiddling at the Blair Academy of Vanderbilt University.
For fifteen years of her life, Meghan struggled with her weight and eating habits. She would rotate between restrictive eating and over-indulgence, creating a destructive cycle and damaging her relationship with food, as well as her mental health. In college, Meghan was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. She started lifting weights and kickboxing to help strengthen her body, but she still wasn’t able to control her nutrition without help. By the time Susan reached out to Meghan about considering participating in the FASTer Way to Fat Loss, Meghan was reaching a point of resignation to her current situation, but she agreed to try the program.
In the first six weeks alone, Meghan lost six inches from her waist! She was absolutely amazed at the kinds of changes she was seeing after a short time in the FASTer Way. Through those six weeks, she had learned how to eat enough, how to exercise in ways that complimented her nutrition instead of detracting from it, and how to maintain a healthy perspective about her body that she had never experienced before.
It has been over a year since Meghan began her journey with the FASTer Way to Fat Loss. Every day, she is amazed at how strong her body has become. She is able to push herself in ways she had never thought possible. Her blood sugar levels have significantly stabilized as well, giving her greater flexibility and confidence in her workouts.
When asked how Meghan feels about this lifestyle, she responded, “Without the FASTer Way, I would probably still be stuck thinking that I am incapable of changing my own life. When I became a coach for this program, I accepted the chance to help others like me take charge of their health at a young age. As a coach, I have the distinct privilege of helping people get their lives back!”
Meghan is passionate about helping others realize their own potential to change and providing them with the tools they need to make those changes. She considers it an honor to work with her fellow coach, Susan, to help clients become the best versions of themselves.
Susan's Story
Originally from Oklahoma, Susan married her high school sweetheart, Philip Perdue, in 1984. They moved to Maryland where she spent the next 31 years of her life as a Navy wife. She and Phil are the proud parents of three amazing professional musicians: Caitlin, Christopher and Meghan. A Physician Assistant (PA) by training, Susan has spent her recent years teaching AP Biology courses and staying at home.
In November of 2018, Susan weighed over 195 pounds at only 5’4″ in height, which meant she was medically obese. Around that time, she discovered that her hands would regularly fall asleep, a condition that was diagnosed as severe carpal tunnel syndrome. Susan was devastated – the progressing carpal tunnel syndrome made it incredibly difficult for her to play her beloved piano. Through doing some reading online, Susan learned that losing weight could possibly reduce her symptoms. She began to lift weights and then, in January, 2019, Susan saw a post on Facebook where a young mother was exercising with her young children and thanked the FASTer Way for her inspiration. Having never heard of the FASTer Way, she looked it up online and liked what she saw. After sharing the information with her husband, a practicing physician, Susan decided to try the program together with her husband and her daughter, Meghan.
Now, over a year later, Susan has lost nearly 40 pounds and 40 inches! Her wrists have improved so dramatically that she has been cleared of any imminent need for corrective surgery for her carpal tunnel syndrome. She can now play piano for long periods without numbness. She can do full body push ups and burpees without wrist pain. She can walk for hours and she even biked 106 miles in one day – all because of the FASTer Way.
When asked to describe how she feels about the FASTer Way, Susan responded with the following statement: “I love people. I love helping people. I love science and I love good food! Being a FASTer Way to Fat Loss coach allows me to use all of those things in one job! I enjoy the lifestyle I get to live where I get to eat LOTS of delicious whole foods and to exercise my body. And, at the same time, I get to help others experience their own joy-filled transformations through making step-by-step changes that truly make a difference.”
Susan’s passion is to help others experience the same type of live-giving, joy-filled transformation that she has experienced. Susan is confident that showing up every day for yourself and choosing little-by-little and step-by-step to commit to what is best for yourself WILL make an incredible difference in your life. She considers it an honor and a privilege to work alongside anyone who wants help to reach their goals.
